Sex is really a great gift from our creator, God Himself. It is a positive gift that He has given us. Sex is for Christians to live out in a secure and safe environment: The marriage. Its purpose is to give both the husband and wife joy and fun as they enjoy each other’s bodies.
Sex was designed by God as a unique and holy activity for a couple to experience connectivity and intimacy. This field of love is reserved for only one person: your husband or wife.
Sex is not only for procreation, it is also for experiencing intimacy and closeness with your partner. Its purpose is to strengthen your relationship, bringing your marriage happiness and health.
The Bible speaks about sex a lot. Let us look at these two verses which underline these thoughts:
“The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise, the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.”
“Let you fountain be blessed and rejoice in the wife of your youth, a lovely deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts fill you at all times with delight; be intoxicated always in her love.”
