Martin Osner is a multi-award-winning fine art photographer who sees the imperfections in photography and uses his camera, not just as a means to an end, but rather as a tool in the process towards creative, beautiful, deep and sometimes complex works of photographic art
Osner’s passion for teaching never faded and in 2013, he opened the Martin Osner Photography School. Over the last twenty-five years, Osner has taught thousands of students who are eager to pursue photography as a career, as well as keen amateurs from all walks of life.
Today Osner specialises in a contemporary portfolio of fine art photography, offering limited edition Gicleé and traditional black and white vintage prints, into a collectors’ market. Osner describes his career as a detour of methodologies and “a journey of self-discovery that has forged a relaxed subconscious attitude, with a desire to express simplicity and honesty through my work.” Following an artist whose work is known to evolve and change is definitely an interesting ride. Osner says, “I allow day to day life to provide me with inspiration, treating everything as a potential composition. I enjoy the conceptual transformation from reality to realism, which a lens and camera offer. When behind the lens, I experience hours of peace and contentment. This is a spiritual and inventive path, which I believe to have been guided by an awesome creator. I have never doubted my love for photography or my burning passion for art. It’s something I could never stop. It’s what I do. It’s what I love. It’s who I am.”
